Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Mental Health Support Team (MHST) as a Senior Youth Mental Health Practitioner.

You will be responsible for providing specialist mental health services to children and young people in schools, working closely with teachers and other healthcare professionals to identify and address mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. To work as a senior member of the MHST, leading on the delivery of the service offer to designated schools.
  2. To take responsibility for managing a complex caseload, including specialist assessment and care planning.
  3. To develop and deliver therapeutic interventions, such as counseling and family therapy.
  4. To collaborate with colleagues to ensure effective risk assessments and management plans are in place.
  5. To provide supervision and training to junior staff members.

Requirements:

  • Professional clinical qualification, such as RMN, OT, CWP, or social worker, with 2 years minimum post-qualification experience.
  • Current professional registration.

Salary: £42,000 - £53,000 per annum, depending on experience.
