We are looking for a compassionate and resilient individual to join our team at Family Care Group as a Youth Care Practitioner in Shrewsbury.

As a key member of our residential children's home, you will work closely with young people, their families, and other professionals to provide tailored care and support.

You will be part of a collaborative team that utilizes the Therapeutic Model to help each young person thrive and make positive changes in their lives.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people.

Key responsibilities:

  • To contribute to the Care Planning process of Children and Young People cared for by Family Care Group
  • To attend and contribute to your supervision sessions and appraisal processes
  • To represent the company when called upon to do so by exhibiting the highest professional standards
  • To participate in training programmes and individual training courses
  • Undertaking 'sleep-in' duties in accordance with the home's Rota
  • To maintain all records in accordance with company policy, regulations, and statutory requirements

Requirements:

  • Must hold a current valid full driving licence
  • Previous Residential Childcare experience is essential (Not nursery/early years)
  • Possessing a Level 3 in Children's and Young People's Workforce is desirable
  • Be able to work on a shift/Rota basis
  • Happy to undergo an enhanced DBS certificate upon appointment
