Cancer Research Leader
We are seeking a Group Leader in In Vivo Cancer Modelling to contribute to our cutting-edge cancer research at the Institute of Cancer Research (ICR). This pivotal role will focus on advancing our understanding of haemato-oncology and solid tumour oncology through the use of genetic and humanised mouse models of cancer.
The successful candidate will lead a successful research group, expand the Centre for In Vivo Modelling's research capabilities, and foster productive collaborations with other groups and centres at the ICR. This will involve integrating in vivo modelling into multidisciplinary projects and initiatives, promoting its application in cancer research.
Applicants must hold a higher degree and have a proven track record of leading research in in vivo modelling and advanced mouse genetics, demonstrated by high-quality publications and significant funding success. For more junior candidates, an outstanding postdoctoral track record in cancer research, coupled with a compelling research vision leveraging advanced genetic mouse models and clear potential to secure external funding, is essential.
The ICR is committed to supporting overseas applicants and offers a range of benefits to its staff. We value diversity and believe it fuels innovation and drives impactful research. We welcome applicants from all walks of life and are committed to being an equal opportunity employer.
This role will significantly contribute to driving the ICR's strategic priorities, which include solidifying expertise in state-of-the-art in vivo cancer models to probe complex cancer ecosystems, discover their underlying biology, and identify new therapeutic targets.
For more information, please refer to the attached job pack. Informal discussions can be arranged with Professor Kamil R. Kranc or Professor Chris Jones.
