We are seeking a motivated Research Epidemiologist to manage a large prospective study of 110,000 women in the UK, focusing on cancer causes, early detection, and survivorship.

Job Description

This role will involve overseeing data collection, coordinating study operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices, leading research efforts, managing external collaborations, contributing to publications and grant writing, and supervising junior staff and research assistants.

The successful candidate will be situated within the Division of Genetics & Epidemiology on the ICR's Sutton campus and will report directly to Professor Montse Garcia-Closas.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled Epidemiologist to join our team and contribute to the advancement of cancer research. As a Research Epidemiologist, you will play a key role in managing the study, developing research strategies, and collaborating with internal and external teams.

Key Requirements
  • A PhD degree in Epidemiology
  • Experience in research management, study design, data analyses, and scientific writing
  • Able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team interacting with internal and external epidemiologists, geneticists, biologists, clinicians, statisticians, and data scientists
Benefits

The Institute of Cancer Research offers a competitive salary package, including a base salary of £43,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits such as pension scheme, life assurance, and annual leave.
