Statistical Epidemiologist (Imperial College London)

We are seeking a highly skilled Statistical Epidemiologist to join our team at Imperial College London. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic research group working on the application of Bayesian methods in epidemiology.

The role involves shaping a cutting-edge research project that combines statistical methodology with public health expertise.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Develop and apply advanced statistical models for estimating sources of transmission using phylogenetics.
  2. Collaborate with public health partners to design and implement studies.
  3. Analyze large datasets to identify trends and patterns.

Requirements:

  • PhD in statistics, mathematics, physics, or a closely related field.
  • Excellent programming skills in R and UNIX.
  • Strong experience in data handling and text processing.
  • Ability to travel and work collaboratively as part of a team.

Salary Range: £32,380 - £34,040 per annum.
