Leading Philanthropy Manager for Cancer Research UK

Take on a leadership role at Cancer Research UK as the Associate Director of Philanthropy and drive fundraising efforts for one of the world's leading scientific research institutes.

Directly overseeing a team of five, you will work closely with the Cancer Research UK frontline fundraising team to engage high-net-worth individuals, manage a personal portfolio of principal gifts donors and prospects, and secure gifts in excess of £1 million.

This is an exceptional opportunity to lead a fundraising programme that supports ground-breaking research and helps change lives for the better. You will be working at the most senior levels to secure transformational gifts, collaborating with esteemed scientists and academics, as well as managing senior volunteers and a volunteer board.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading a team of fundraisers to achieve ambitious targets
  • Building relationships with high-net-worth individuals and securing major gifts
  • Collaborating with the Cancer Research UK frontline fundraising team to develop and implement effective fundraising strategies
  • Managing a personal portfolio of principal gifts donors and prospects

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic leader who is passionate about philanthropy and has a proven track record in major gifts and campaign fundraising. If you have excellent communication skills, a strong ability to build relationships, and a desire to make a real difference, we want to hear from you.

This role offers a competitive salary of £95,000-£110,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including a generous pension scheme and opportunities for professional development.
