Cancer Research UK is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Philanthropy Leadership to lead the fundraising efforts for the Crick, one of the world's leading scientific research institutes.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in major gifts and campaign fundraising, with excellent relationships with philanthropists and high net-worth individuals. They will also have strong leadership skills, able to manage a team of five and work closely with senior scientists and academics.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and make a real difference in the fight against cancer. The salary for this role is estimated to be around £80,000-£100,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading a team of five and working closely with the wider CRUK philanthropy team
  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy for the Crick
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including senior scientists and academics
  • Managing multiple and complex projects, ensuring timely delivery and maximum impact

Candidates should have a strong background in major gifts and campaign fundraising, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A degree in a relevant subject and a professional qualification in fundraising would be advantageous.
