Specialist SEND Support Professional

We Manage Jobs (WMJobs) is seeking an experienced and flexible team member to provide high-quality education for pupils with significant and complex Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This role will be based in our intervention room, 'The Hive', where you will support children with social, communication & emotional needs, including those with Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) plans.
Job Summary: The successful candidate will work within a team to support the Class Teacher and have support from the SENCO and regular external agency support. You will provide a personalized curriculum offer within our HIVE, focusing on using visuals to support communication.
We are a friendly, welcoming, and supportive school that prioritizes staff professional development and mental wellbeing. We anticipate that this role will commence in 2025 and is subject to necessary pre-employment checks, including an enhanced DBS and medical fitness. The successful candidate must be fluent in spoken English.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support children with significant and complex SEND needs in our intervention room, 'The Hive', and in mainstream classes.
- Work collaboratively with the Class Teacher and receive support from the SENCO and external agencies.
- Develop and deliver personalized learning programs using visual aids to enhance communication.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working with children with SEND needs.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and support the Class Teacher.
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.
Estimated Salary Range: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum
