Prospero Teaching is seeking a qualified SEND Specialist Tutor to deliver 1:1 tuition packages to young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in Solihull. The ideal candidate will have UK classroom teaching experience, QTS, and a patient, creative approach to supporting students with challenging behavior and disengaged pupils.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a dedicated SEND Specialist Tutor to provide tailored lessons to bridge gaps in pupils' education and boost attainment levels. The tuition will replace mainstream education for these young people, taking place during school hours, five days a week. The successful candidate will work closely with Prospero Teaching to monitor pupil progression, submitting weekly reports to track their development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver 1:1 tailored lessons to support pupils with SEND
  • Monitor pupil progression and submit weekly reports
  • Work closely with Prospero Teaching to ensure effective tuition
  • Have a patient, creative approach to supporting students with challenging behavior
Requirements:
  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
  • UK classroom teaching experience
  • Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service
