SEND Teacher Opportunity at Academics Ltd

We are seeking a highly skilled SEND Teacher to work on a full-time basis at our SEND School located in the eastern area of Birmingham.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Teacher who can start immediately and confidently teach across all year groups, as this is an all-through school.

The school caters to children with Educational Health Care Plans (EHCP), providing a supportive environment that addresses their diverse needs.

The children attending this school may have severe learning difficulties (SLD), moderate learning difficulties (MLD), speech language and communication difficulties, or Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Some students may also have additional needs, including visual impairment and hearing impairment, accompanied by behavioral challenges.

The school offers a tailored curriculum that extends the National Curriculum, ensuring a natural progression towards full participation within the framework.

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and be eligible to work in the UK.
  • Possess extensive subject knowledge covering EYFS to KS2.
  • Have experience teaching the ASDAN curriculum, although this is not essential.
  • Provide a safe and stimulating environment for children.
  • Teach at a good to outstanding consistent level.
  • Effectively manage behavior.
  • Be flexible around the school's working routine and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Utilize resources efficiently to enhance children's attainment levels.
  • Plan and think strategically.
  • Remain patient and calm in stressful situations.

To ensure a smooth transition, we require all Teachers to undergo a fully enhanced DBS check, provide minimum two references, and participate in a face-to-face interview.

Estimated Salary: £42,000 per annum
