Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Location: Wednesbury

Hours: Part-Time (3 days per week)

Are you passionate about supporting early years education and creating a nurturing learning environment for young learners?

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic HLTA to support mainly in Reception, working closely with the class teacher to deliver a broad and balanced curriculum, supporting the development of essential early years skills, and ensuring that every child reaches their full potential.

About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled HLTA to join our team at an Ofsted rated 'Good' one-form entry primary school. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in creating a positive, safe, and stimulating classroom environment, working collaboratively with staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the class teacher in delivering high-quality learning experiences for Reception and KS1 pupils.
  • Covering classes and leading lessons when required, utilizing your expertise in the early years foundation stage (EYFS).
  • Delivering targeted support to individuals or small groups of pupils, ensuring they reach their full potential.
  • Assisting in the assessment and recording of pupils' progress, providing valuable insights to inform teaching practices.
  • Creating a positive, safe, and stimulating classroom environment, promoting a love of learning in young children.
  • Working collaboratively with staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment, fostering strong relationships with children, staff, and parents.

Requirements:

  • HLTA qualification (or equivalent) and experience working in KS1.
  • Confidence and experience in covering and leading classes when necessary, utilizing your expertise in the EYFS.
  • A good understanding of the KS1 curriculum, with the ability to deliver high-quality learning experiences.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents, promoting a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills, with a commitment to the safety and well-being of children.
