This position involves working closely with the classroom teacher to ensure that each pupil receives the attention they need to flourish academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver personalized support to all Year 2 students, addressing their unique learning requirements.
- Collaborate with educators to design and implement customized lessons and activities.
- Encourage the academic, social, and emotional growth of students, fostering their confidence and independence.
- Establish a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
- Modify teaching methods and materials to suit diverse learning styles and capabilities.
- Assist in evaluating student progress and communicate findings to teachers and parents.
- Build positive relationships with students and maintain open lines of communication with families and school staff.
- Adhere to the school's principles, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- Experience working with Year 2 students is preferred.
- Strong understanding and empathy for individual student needs.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, staff, and parents.
- Patience and resilience, with the ability to provide emotional support as necessary.
- Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of students and teaching strategies.
- Familiarity with effective teaching practices and resources for individual student support.
- Relevant educational qualifications are advantageous but not mandatory.
