This position involves working closely with the classroom teacher to ensure that each pupil receives the attention they need to flourish academically and socially.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver personalized support to all Year 2 students, addressing their unique learning requirements.
  • Collaborate with educators to design and implement customized lessons and activities.
  • Encourage the academic, social, and emotional growth of students, fostering their confidence and independence.
  • Establish a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
  • Modify teaching methods and materials to suit diverse learning styles and capabilities.
  • Assist in evaluating student progress and communicate findings to teachers and parents.
  • Build positive relationships with students and maintain open lines of communication with families and school staff.
  • Adhere to the school's principles, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications:
  • Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience working with Year 2 students is preferred.
  • Strong understanding and empathy for individual student needs.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, staff, and parents.
  • Patience and resilience, with the ability to provide emotional support as necessary.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of students and teaching strategies.
  • Familiarity with effective teaching practices and resources for individual student support.
  • Relevant educational qualifications are advantageous but not mandatory.
