We are seeking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant (TERM TIME ONLY) whose principal role is to provide in-classroom support to our SEND students, under the direction of the teacher. The role involves providing both academic support and welfare support. This is a fixed term post, starting ASAP after all pre-employment checks have been completed. We are particularly but not solely interested in applicants who have the ability to support students in Maths, English and Science at Key Stage 4.

The successful candidate should be able to offer excellent communication skills and experience of working with young people would be an advantage. Applicants must have at least a grade C or 4 in English or Maths at GCSE/Level 2. Original evidence of qualifications will be required at interview.

This position provides excellent preparation for people who are considering careers in teaching and who are looking to gain experience of working with young people or working in a school setting.
