Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and organised individual to join our team as a House Pastoral Leader. As a key member of the pastoral team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective running of the allocated House, catering to the welfare and needs of students.

The successful candidate will have good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate to both young people and adults. They will also have good organisational and ICT skills, with experience of working with students in a professional setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Liaise with the Housemaster/Mistress to ensure they are fully briefed on events and developments during the day.
  2. Supervise students during working hours, promoting personal cleanliness and appearance, completion of House duties, and punctuality for all school commitments.
  3. Accompany students to meals and supervise them according to the requirements of the House.
  4. Support the Tutor and House Parent with the academic, behaviour, and general progress of students in the House.
  5. Administer medication complying with School procedures and provide basic First Aid treatment as necessary.
  6. Regularly check the fabric of the House and requisition repairs or replacements through Facilities Management as appropriate.
  7. Assist with organising and running social, sporting, or other House activities for students.

  • A competitive salary of £17,660 per annum, including holiday pay based on 40 weeks of the year.
