Job Title: Sous Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Thornbury Castle. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Head Chef in the preparation and service of our menus.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Executive Head Chef in the creation of menus and the preparation of dishes
  • Lead the kitchen team in the absence of the Executive Head Chef
  • Train and develop new kitchen staff
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and health and safety
  • Work closely with the Executive Head Chef to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen
Requirements:
  • Experience at 3 AA Rosette or 1 Michelin star environment
  • 5 years experience in a similar role or above
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Passion for food and the industry
