Job Title: Sous Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Château de Mercuès. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for the preparation and service of our dishes, working closely with our Executive Head Chef to create menus and lead the kitchen in their absence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and service of dishes to the highest standard
  • Assisting the Executive Head Chef in menu creation and kitchen management
  • Leading the kitchen team in the absence of the Executive Head Chef
  • Training and developing new kitchen staff
  • Maintaining high standards of food safety and health and safety

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a similar environment
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a calm and mature approach
  • Passion for food and a commitment to excellence
