Château de Mercuès Executive Chef Job

The Château de Mercuès is seeking an experienced and talented Executive Chef to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for the preparation and service of our menus.

Job Description

This is a full-time permanent position, working 48 hours per week. The salary range for this role is £36,000 - £38,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to your annual salary, you will also receive an additional share of service charge and tips, estimated at around £4,000 per year, paid every two months.

  • Responsible for the preparation and service of our menus
  • Working closely with the Head Chef to create innovative and delicious dishes
  • Leading the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef
  • Assisting in the training of new kitchen staff
  • Maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene
Requirements

We are looking for a skilled and experienced chef with a passion for delivering exceptional results. To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A natural ability as a chef with outstanding attention to detail
  • The ability to work under pressure and use your initiative
  • Experience working in a similar environment, ideally with a 3 AA Rosette or 1 Michelin star restaurant
  • A calm and mature approach, with a resilient nature that thrives under pressure
  • Dedicated communication skills and a strong team player attitude
