Job Title: Senior Substance Misuse School Link Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Substance Misuse School Link Practitioner to join our team at Catch22. As a key member of our substance misuse service, you will work closely with schools across the region to develop and deliver training, support, and resources to help them address substance misuse concerns and incidents.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver training for education staff on substance misuse awareness and prevention.
  • Provide one-to-one support and guidance to parents and carers of children with substance misuse concerns.
  • Collaborate with local schools and agencies to deliver a holistic package of care for children and young people with substance misuse issues.
  • Offer initial assessments and referrals for students with substance misuse concerns.
  • Provide specialist harm reduction advice and information to parents and carers.
  • Ensure timely and accurate data recording and reporting.

Requirements:

  • NVQ3 Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.
  • Specialist knowledge of alcohol and substance misuse.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with schools, parents, and carers.
  • Experience in delivering training and presentations.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary up to £28,598 (pro rata) depending on experience.
  • 37 hours per week, term-time only (41 weeks per year).
  • Fixed-term contract until March 2025.
  • Enhanced DBS check required.
  • Location: East Surrey (with regular travel across Surrey).
