Job Description

Action on Disability is seeking a Support Partner for Independent Living to join our team. As a Support Partner, you will work closely with individuals in their own homes or out in the community, providing support with daily tasks and promoting independence.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting individuals to manage their daily routines and tasks
  • Assisting with paperwork and administrative tasks
  • Accompanying or supporting individuals to access education, training, work, social, physical, or volunteering activities
  • Supporting individuals to use community services
  • Assisting with shopping and household chores

The ideal candidate will have some previous experience working with disabled or vulnerable people and be able to demonstrate respect, care, and responsibility towards the individual they will be supporting. A willingness to learn new skills and build local knowledge is also essential.

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that offers the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of others. You will be paid £16.90 per hour (based on the National Living Wage) and will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
