Job Responsibilities

The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for delivering accounting information within a high-performance culture, reporting to the Transactional Manager and working as part of the UK Finance team.

  • Dealing with payment of employee expenses
  • Matching supplier invoices to purchase orders/goods received documentation and ensuring they are appropriately authorised and booked into the accounting system
  • Resolving any discrepancies and dealing with supplier queries
  • Preparing supplier payments for authorisation and subsequent processing
  • Reconciling bank accounts (including foreign currency)
  • Updating excel-based reconciliation/support packs
  • Carrying out sales invoicing and cash allocation activities
  • Implementing improvements to existing processes as required
  • Creating good working relationships with key team members
  • Involvement with integration on new business units
  • Managing the credit card facility – making new applications, ensuring compliance, and liaising with the cardholder
  • Monthly cash extraction and relevant reporting
  • Assisting with insurance integration for all new acquisitions
  • Liaising with the businesses internally and externally when needed
Job Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of relevant experience, strong commercial acumen and financial analysis skills, excellent IT skills including a high level of proficiency in Excel, good communication and interpersonal skills, and experience with Microsoft Great Plains software and SAP concur would be an advantage.
