St Asaph, Denbighshire, United Kingdom Welsh Ambulance Services Full time
Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled mental health professional to lead our emergency care team. If you have a strong background in crisis care and experience in managing teams or services, this could be the ideal opportunity for you.

The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable, but not required. We welcome applications from both Welsh and English speakers.

Main Duties

As a Senior Mental Health Clinician, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to individuals who call our emergency services in crisis. You will work closely with the Clinical Support Desk Manager and have the autonomy to manage day-to-day operational and professional issues.

You will need to have excellent organisational and leadership skills, experience in delivering small-scale improvement projects, and the ability to effectively communicate at all levels. Problem-solving under pressure and flexibility in your approach to work are also essential.

Induction training will be provided, which may include telephone triage training and travel to alternative sites. The role may involve working weekends, bank holidays, and other unsocial hours.

Working for Our Organisation

We are proud to have a workforce of over 4,000 remarkable people who contribute to delivering world-class patient care across Wales. Whether you work in a patient-facing role or within our support services, your work enables us to provide high-quality care, wherever and whenever it's needed.

We value diversity and inclusivity, and we seek to create an environment where everyone feels welcome and valued. We encourage applications from under-represented groups, including those from BME communities and disability groups.

Careers within the Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust are diverse and varied, with opportunities arising right across the service. Whatever your skills and background, you're sure to find a career with us that's fulfilling, challenging, and rewarding.
