Residential Child Support Specialist

Polaris Community is seeking a skilled Casual Child Residential Support Worker to join our team. This role requires flexibility in availability for 7 x 24 hour shifts, including sleep-ins, over a 3 week rotation. As a Residential Child Support Specialist, you will be responsible for promoting the welfare and safeguarding of children and young people with emotional behavioural difficulties.
Main Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with our young people.
- Promote individual interests of our young people.
- Encourage social interaction and development among residents.
Requirements:
- A full UK driving licence and car for travelling.
- Hold a Residential Childcare Diploma or equivalent, or be willing to work towards a qualification.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Willingness to learn and work well in a small team.
Benefits:
- A competitive salary of £23,063.04 (unqualified) or £25,565.54 (qualified) per annum.
- Sleep-in allowance of £64 per night.
