About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and empathetic individual to join our team as a Palliative Healthcare Assistant - Dorchester.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact, providing the highest quality of care and emotional support to the child and their family in a home setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interactive Care: Engage the child through play, storytime, and activities that promote emotional and cognitive development while respecting their comfort and needs during palliative care.
  • Emotional Comfort: Provide reassurance, cuddles, and comfort when the child is distressed or in need of support, ensuring they feel loved and secure.
  • Palliative Care: Offer compassionate care in the child's final stages of life, providing comfort and support to both the child and family.
  • Family Communication: Build a trusting, positive relationship with both the child and their family, ensuring their needs are met with kindness, respect, and compassion throughout this emotional time.
