Salary Range: Approximately £24,250-£31,600 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Childcare Support Professional to join our team at Budwood Limited in Dorchester. As a Residential Childcare Support Worker, you will be part of a collaborative team providing individualized care packages to children and young adults with emotional behavioural difficulties and social/emotional mental health needs.

About the Role:

  • You will work closely with colleagues to provide 24/7 support, promoting the welfare and safety of our young people.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with residents, encouraging their development and interests.
  • Contribute to creating a stable and comfortable home environment, supporting our young people's transition to independence.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement tailored care plans, ensuring each resident receives the necessary guidance and support.
  • Foster a culture of empathy, understanding, and respect within the residential setting.
  • Participate in comprehensive training programs, including 'Developmental Trauma' and therapeutic parenting, to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working with children and young people, ideally in a residential care setting.
  • Able to work flexibly, including night shifts and sleep-ins, as part of a 3-week rotation.
  • Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification; willingness to upgrade to Level 4 diploma considered.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car for travel purposes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to safeguarding and protecting vulnerable individuals.
