This is an exciting role for a highly motivated and experienced Children's Home Manager to lead a small, specialized care service in Doncaster. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years' experience in staff supervision and management, at least 2 years' relevant experience in residential childcare, preferably as a Deputy Manager, and a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
In return, we offer a competitive salary range of £45,000 to £60,000, with the option for dual registration, a £60,000 to £70,000 salary range. Additional benefits include a £5,000 welcome bonus, 10% annual bonus, and opportunities for career development and progression.
This is a challenging yet rewarding role that involves supporting children and young people with complex needs and behaviours. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care, safety, and well-being for the children in placement.
Key Responsibilities:
Establishing and developing a new, innovative children's residential service
Managing and fostering a cohesive, high-performing staff team
Setting and reviewing ambitious targets and objectives for the care team
Promoting collaborative, partnership-based practices with young people and their families
Ensuring the highest standards of care, safety, and well-being for the children in placement
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years' experience in staff supervision and management
At least 2 years' relevant experience in residential childcare, preferably as a Deputy Manager
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
Level 5 Diploma in Residential Childcare
Full clean driving license
Proven ability to provide consistent, nurturing care and support to young people
Experience working with children displaying challenging behaviours
Flexibility to cover shifts as needed
