About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Protection Advisor to join our team at Ocado Group. As a Data Protection Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the company's data privacy compliance and driving a data privacy culture across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain data protection policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with EU and UK data protection legislation.
  • Investigate personal data breaches, collaborate with Data Privacy Champions to identify risks, and advise on mitigating actions.
  • Support the development of data protection impact assessments for projects and processes involving personal data.
  • Provide guidance and advice to employees on data protection requirements and best practices.
  • Collaborate with the Data Privacy Champions to ensure Ocado maintains processing inventories and a record/register of processing activities.
  • Identify potential issues and risks with respect to the processing of personal data and escalate to the Data Protection Officer.
About You
  • Proven experience in data protection, information security, or a related field.
  • Excellent knowledge of EU and UK data protection legislation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in process analysis and documentation.
