About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Data Protection team, where you will play a critical role in ensuring the company's data privacy compliance and governance. As a Data Protection Specialist, you will be responsible for advising and influencing employees across the organization to maintain the highest standards of data protection.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain data protection policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Conduct data protection impact assessments to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Investigate data breaches and provide guidance on remediation and prevention.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data protection is integrated into business processes and decision-making.
- Provide training and awareness programs to employees on data protection best practices.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging data protection trends and regulations, and advise the organization on compliance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in data protection and governance, with a strong understanding of relevant regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and advise stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
- Professional certification in data protection or a related field is an asset.
