We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health Protection Nurse/Practitioner to join our team at Public Health Wales. As a key member of our Health Protection Team, you will play a vital role in the surveillance, prevention, and control of infectious diseases and other health protection issues.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Acting as a key member of the national All-Wales Acute Response (AWARe) service, delivering the acute health protection response and providing health protection advice to other health professionals and members of the public.
- Working with Senior Health Protection (Nurses/Practitioners) and Consultants on planned proactive work at a local and regional level, collaborating with other agencies to provide a specialist health protection service for the population of Wales.
- Participating in delivering the out-of-hours service, which runs Monday to Sunday, including bank holidays.
- Attending meetings, training sessions, and visiting other sites as required.

- Experience of dealing with sensitive or difficult situations.
