Consultant Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Adult Mental Health Service at Rhodes Wood Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering evidence-based treatment plans to support children and young people aged 8-18 with eating disorders.
As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will work closely with our experienced team to create tailored treatment programmes that meet the individual needs of each young person. You will conduct admission assessments, review referrals, and ensure effective management plans are in place.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing referrals and determining appropriateness for admission
- Conducting admission assessments and ensuring effective management plans are in place
- Conducting risk assessments and reviewing regularly
- Allocating specialist psychological treatments in line with individual needs
- Assessing physical health
- Ensuring effective liaison with referring teams
- Facilitating regular CPA review meetings
- Acting as Responsible Clinician for young people detained under the Mental Health Act
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Registration on the Specialist Register for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry with a licence to practice
- Experience of CAMHS eating disorders desirable
We offer a competitive annual salary, a £10,000 signing on bonus, and a £8,400 car allowance. You will also receive 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays and your birthday off, as well as a Group Personal Pension Plan (GPPP) and pension contribution.
