About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Mental Health Specialist Trainee. This is an exciting opportunity to work with children and young people, providing evidence-based interventions based on NICE Guideline recommended treatment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work within a multi-disciplinary team to provide assessment, formulation, and treatment to children and young people with mental health difficulties.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with children, young people, and their families/carers.
  • Participate in regular supervision and training to develop skills and knowledge in CBT and other evidence-based interventions.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service policies and procedures.

Training and Development

This role offers a unique opportunity to develop skills and knowledge in CBT and other evidence-based interventions. You will receive regular supervision and training to support your professional development.

Person Specification

  • Minimum second-class bachelors degree from a UK University, or overseas equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years working within a mental health setting, ideally with children and young people, and their families/carers.
  • Experience of multi-agency working and safeguarding procedures.
  • Able to demonstrate good skills in communication, time management, use of supervision, record keeping.
