We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Learning Mentor to join our team at Long-term Teachers Ltd. This rewarding role offers the chance to make a real difference in the lives of post-16 students with educational health and care plans (EHCPs).

Job Overview

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to work closely with young people in diverse community settings, supporting their development of practical life skills and delivering accredited learning based on a personalised curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students to develop practical life skills tailored to their individual needs
  • Deliver accredited learning based on a personalised curriculum
  • Assess student progress and celebrate their achievements
  • Travel alongside students to various community-based locations, ensuring their learning takes place in meaningful, real-world environments
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A passion for working with young people and supporting their development
  • Previous experience working with young people in the UK is essential
  • Experience working with special educational needs would be advantageous
  • Flexibility to travel between community locations
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Confident in working with and taking students off-site to a range of settings
  • Able to drive and have access to your own car (you will need to get business insurance for this role)
