Vetro Recruitment is a leading provider of temporary and permanent staff in the care sector. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Children and Young People's Support Worker to join our team in Exeter.

Job Summary

This role involves supporting young people with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and challenging behaviours in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and young people, be able to lead by example, mentor newer staff, encourage activities, deal with challenging behaviours, protect health and welfare, provide support and promote independence.

About the Role
  • Maintain a safe environment, ensure safety, knowledge of care plans, guidelines, reward systems, and communication methods
  • Develop good working relationships with staff, parents, Social Workers, and professionals
  • Ensure that all actions promote the well-being and safety of the young people
Requirements
  • Experience as a Children's Support Worker or with Young People is essential
  • Experience within another healthcare or social care setting is essential
  • Level 3 NVQ in Children & Young People
