We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to focus on European Roadfreight and Customs for an international Freight and Logistics provider.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop core services for the company, including identifying and targeting potential new clients and working closely with existing customers and colleagues to strengthen existing relationships.
- Initiate sales activities, focusing on European road transport and customs, and develop business relationships with existing and new customer base.
- Identify sales leads and develop core services, prepare, deliver, and follow up quotations and leads, and record, report, and analyse the outcomes.
- Have a strong understanding of freight forwarding, particularly road freight and customs, and a knowledge of Ocean and Airfreight would be an advantage.
- At least 2 years proven business development experience in freight forwarding background, with connections within the industry.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, and be self-motivated with a hard-working driven ethos.
- A full-time, permanent role, working 9am-5:30pm, Monday to Friday.
- An attractive package with a basic salary in the region of £40 to £50k, plus yearly sales bonus, as well as private medical health scheme and company pension, 25 days holiday (plus Bank Holidays), a car allowance, laptop, and other benefits.
