About the Position

Edinburgh Napier University is seeking a highly skilled Senior Development Manager to lead our fundraising efforts and secure major gifts from key stakeholders.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop and implement strategic fundraising plans, grow a portfolio of high-value prospects, and build lasting relationships with donors.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of securing major gifts and driving growth for the university.

As a member of our Development and Alumni Relations Office, you will work closely with colleagues to build a culture of philanthropy and drive innovation across the institution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to meet income targets
  • Grow and manage a portfolio of high-value prospects and donors
  • Create compelling case for support and proposals to secure major gifts
  • Negotiate and close deals with key stakeholders
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in major gift fundraising or a related field
  • Demonstrated success in securing major gifts and building donor relationships
  • Strong networking, negotiation, and communication skills
