We are seeking a highly motivated researcher to undertake a PhD in Sustainable Climate Policy at **Heriot-Watt University** in Scotland.

The research project aims to examine the complex interactions between carbon pricing policies and their broader socio-economic and environmental implications. This will involve a multidimensional approach, looking at the economic growth, equity, justice, social opposition/acceptability, and impacts on vulnerable communities.

The successful candidate will receive a tuition fee waiver, an annual stipend of £25,000, and a research support allowance to cover conferences, courses, fieldwork, or other academic activities. Additionally, full-time scholarship holders may be offered paid teaching support each academic year.

Applicants should have an MSc in Economics or a closely related area and meet the general criteria for PhD entry.
