Job Title: Business Sales

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Business Sales professional to join our team at L&S Waste Management. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and generating revenue for our services in the SO post code areas, expanding our customer base, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate revenue for our services by managing and maximizing key account customers, expanding existing business, and generating new business opportunities.
  • Promote and develop awareness of our services in the local and surrounding market areas.
  • Establish and build upon long-term profitable business relationships with key contacts within existing and new business opportunities.
  • Review and analyze our existing customer base within the SO post code areas.
  • Organize and execute sales and marketing campaigns, as well as advertising, where necessary.
  • Examine and analyze our market share.
  • Produce concise weekly reports on activities and progress.
  • Liaise with other sales team members to ensure excellent communication and forward sales leads and business opportunities.
  • Provide quotation information to the Business Development Administrator.
  • Monitor and increase the number of account customers.
  • Record prospects and client activity and follow up as appropriate.
  • Utilize Glenigan leads and other planning leads to assist in generating new business on a weekly basis.
  • Stay up-to-date with market changes and legislation.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record and relevant experience within the waste, building, or construction industries.
  • Experience in the building industry, either through a builders merchant or direct business-to-business sales.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organization, and IT skills.
  • Good geographical knowledge.
  • Good attention to detail to ensure accuracy of information.
  • Working knowledge of Sage ACT or a similar system.
  • Experience of working within a busy and fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to remain calm and patient when under pressure.
  • Ability to multi-task and use own initiative.
  • Positive, self-motivated, and proactive.

Benefits:

  • Salary: £30,000 pa – £35,000 pa (dependent upon experience), an account management bonus (which could be up to £10k pa to £12k pa), and commission/new business (which could be £1k per month), resulting in earnings circa £45k pa – £57k pa (depending upon bonus and commission results).
