About the Role

As a Wellbeing Support Specialist at Avery Healthcare, you will play a vital role in providing activities for residents' physical, cognitive, and social well-being. You will work closely with the Wellbeing Coordinator to maintain a safe environment and support the ordering of supplies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe living and working environment by ensuring that all areas are clean and tidy.
  • Report any changes in residents' physical or emotional condition to the care team.
  • Support the ordering and preparation of supplies for activities, including materials and equipment.
  • Establish links with the local community to provide residents with opportunities for engagement and participation.

Requirements:

  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • An understanding of the importance of interaction in maintaining the well-being of older adults.
  • A positive attitude towards older people, with a willingness to learn and adapt to their needs.
  • Previous experience working with older people in a residential setting, preferably in a similar role.

The salary for this position is approximately £22,000 per annum, depending on experience. A DBS Disclosure check and proof of eligibility to work in the UK are required.
