Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Manager of Operations to lead our corporate services functions, ensuring they are efficient, compliant, and supportive of our mission.

This pivotal position will oversee critical functions, including finance, HR, IT, and office management. You will play a key role in strategic planning, staff engagement, and safeguarding while providing expert advice across the organisation.

About the Role:

  • Oversight of financial management, including budgets, reporting, and compliance.
  • Leadership and implementation of HR strategies covering policy, recruitment, L&D, and employee relations.
  • Safeguarding lead for the organisation.
  • Strategies for office management and hybrid working arrangements.
  • Fostering a supportive, engaged, and high-performing team culture.
  • Payroll, health and safety, and key organisational projects management.

About You:

We're looking for a strategic thinker with a proven track record in managing corporate services. You'll need:

  • Strong financial acumen to manage a budget exceeding £5m.
  • HR leadership experience in an organisation of 60+ employees.
  • Excellent communication, planning, and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.
  • Sympathy with the aims and values of the Liberal Democrats.

Estimated Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum.
