About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Authorisation Caseworker to join our team at the Solicitors Regulation Authority. As an Authorisation Caseworker, you will play a critical role in ensuring that the regulatory objectives of the SRA are met, and that the associated processes meet the relevant service levels and key performance indicators.

Key Responsibilities
  • Make regulatory decisions on a full range of applications for firms and/or individuals that are entering the legal services market.
  • Use our CRM system to ensure that information platforms are efficient and kept up to date.
  • Take ownership of ensuring effective resolution of applications.
  • Support new and existing staff through various measures such as allocating work, quality assurance, coaching and feedback.
  • Work collaboratively within a team and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Draft written correspondence and documents.
  • Interrogate data, showcasing excellent IT skills.
  • Deliver results against service level agreements.

  • Casework experience with a focus on making risk-based decisions in line with regulatory frameworks.
  • Ability to take ownership and ensure effective resolution of applications.
  • Initiative and workload management skills, with the ability to prioritise.
  • Ability to support new and existing staff through various measures.
  • Collaborative team player with excellent customer service skills.
  • Competent user of IT systems.
