Mental Health Support Position for Children

We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Support Worker to work with children who have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in schools across Sunderland.

About the Job:

This is a full-time position that requires a compassionate and caring individual to provide crucial support to children with diverse needs. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), complex learning disabilities, and those with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Support children's mental health: Work closely with children with SEMH needs in schools across Sunderland to ensure they receive the necessary care and support.
  2. Collaborate with local authorities: Provide tailored support for each child, fostering a positive learning atmosphere using effective behaviour management techniques.
  3. Assist in personal development: Help students achieve their full potential by assisting in their personal and academic development.
Requirements:
  1. Passionate about supporting children: We are looking for an individual who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
  2. Rigorous and determined approach: The successful candidate will possess a rigorous and determined approach to their work, with a creative and inspirational outlook.
  3. Caring and relational approach: A caring and passionate approach to developing strong relationships with staff, students, parents, governors, professionals, and the local community is essential.
Salary Range:

The salary range for this position is £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience.
