Special Needs Education Support Specialist

Protocol Education Ltd is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Adult Care Worker to join our team of professionals working in special needs schools across Sunderland, South Tyneside, or Gateshead. This opportunity allows you to apply your skills in the dynamic world of special needs education.
About the Role:- Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum based on experience and qualifications.
- Contract: Full-time position, Monday to Friday (8:30 AM - 4:00 PM), with a year-long contract and potential for extension.
- Key Responsibilities:
1. Providing one-to-one support and engaging with entire classes to make a meaningful impact on students with diverse needs.
2. Developing sensory awareness and enhancing motor skills in students through creative lessons and activities.
3. Offering individualised care as per care plans and supporting social and cognitive growth in students.
4. Teaching vocabulary and fostering speech and language development in students through various teaching methods.
5. Facilitating creative lessons such as art, cooking, music, and dance to promote student engagement and enjoyment.
Requirements:- Candidates must be qualified with relevant experience in the care sector and teaching assistant background.
- The ability to work collaboratively with dedicated teachers and staff to provide comprehensive support to students.
- A valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and subscription to the DBS Update Service are required.
