Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Special Needs Education Assistant to join our team in Sunderland or Peterlee. The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting students with special educational needs and a strong desire to create a nurturing and effective learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personalized support and care to students with special educational needs, focusing on their individual requirements and goals.
  • Collaborate with class teachers and other assistants to develop a cohesive and inclusive learning strategy.
  • Engage students in various activities that promote social and cognitive growth, adapting to their unique needs and abilities.

Working with Protocol Education

We undertake thorough safeguarding checks on all workers and offer free online safeguarding and Prevent Duty training. All candidates must undergo a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and subscribe to the DBS Update Service.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is around £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, you will receive a range of benefits, including paid training, professional development opportunities, and a supportive work environment.
