About the Role:

We are seeking an exceptional and highly credible individual to lead our IT and digital portfolio at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior IT leader to shape the future of healthcare services, leveraging technology to drive innovation and excellence.

Main Duties:

  1. Strategic IT Leadership: Provide strategic direction and oversight for all IT and digital services across the trust, ensuring seamless integration with clinical and operational teams.
  2. Digital Transformation: Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive digital strategy, aligning with the trust's overall goals and priorities.
  3. People Leadership: Foster a high-performing team culture, empowering staff to deliver exceptional service and driving continuous improvement.
  4. Clinical Systems Management: Oversee the management of clinical systems, including Epic, ensuring optimal performance and quality of care.
  5. Technology Programmes: Establish and manage funded technology programmes that deliver tangible benefits and improve operational efficiency.

Person Specification:

  • Essential Qualifications: Educated to master's level or equivalent level of experience working at a senior level in specialist areas with additional specialist training.
  • Experience: Significant strategic-level digital/IT leadership experience gained in large complex organisations, preferably within the NHS or healthcare sector.
