Administrative Officer

St Joseph's Catholic Primary School, a thriving school in the heart of Pontefract, is seeking an experienced Senior Administrative Officer to join their team.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the administrative tasks of the school, including payroll, budgeting, and facilities management.
About the Role:
We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual who has experience working in a busy office environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work effectively as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the planning, monitoring, and evaluation of the school's budget
- Collating data and information to produce reports as required
- Undertaking the administration of payroll systems
- Managing the administration of facilities, including use of school premises and access control
- Providing administrative support to the governing body
- Drafting HR documentation, including employment contracts and offer letters
- Undertaking recruitment administration and pre-employment checks
Requirements:
- Professionalism when dealing with parents, staff, children, and other stakeholders
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Experience working in an office administrative environment
