We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Support Administrator to join our Clinical Admin department on a temporary basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Pharmacy Prescription Management Operations in the management of prescriptions, patient data entry, and pharmacy communications.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support the Pharmacy Team in the management of prescriptions and patient data entry.
  • Assist in the supply of medication in a safe, effective, and efficient manner, in accordance with prevailing regulations and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Monitor and respond to correspondence in a professional manner with both patients and clients.
  • Maintain documentation filing systems within the department.
  • Ensure prescriptions are labelled and dispensed in a timely and accurate manner, complying with patient confidentiality and data protection protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the Prescription Management Team and dispensing team to ensure the correct and detailed processing of patient data.
  • Read and comply with all communications from head office and others to ensure necessary actions are undertaken for the pharmacy and customers.
  • Maintain good housekeeping.
  • Carry out any reasonable request given by appropriate persons.

Requirements:

  • Previous admin experience preferred but not essential.
  • Microsoft Office experience.

Personal Qualities:

  • Confident in providing accurate, technical expert knowledge on the accurate supply of medicines.
  • Build strong and collaborative relationships with the Pharmacy team.
  • Confident in responding to communications from hospitals, patients, and internal personnel.
  • Confident in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
