The University of Cambridge is offering fully-funded MRes + PhD studentships in Cancer Biology as part of the Cancer Research UK (CRUK) Cambridge Centre. This innovative programme is designed to provide postgraduate students with a broad understanding of both the basic biology and clinical management of cancer.
Programme OverviewThe MRes + PhD programme is a four-year fully-funded studentship that includes a one-year MRes degree and a three-year PhD. The programme is designed to give students a comprehensive understanding of cancer biology and provide them with the skills and knowledge to pursue a career in cancer research.
Research EnvironmentThe CRUK Cambridge Centre is a dynamic collaboration of academic researchers, clinicians, and industry partners based in the Cambridge area. The Centre provides a state-of-the-art research environment with world-class facilities, nationally and internationally recognised centres of excellence, and outstanding opportunities for translational research.
Funding and SupportThe studentships include full funding from Cancer Research UK to cover the University Composition Fee, a travel and consumables budget, and a stipend of £21,000 per annum. The studentships are available for non-clinical applicants and are open to students from all sections of society.
Application ProcessApplications for the studentships are open until 19 November 2024. Short-listed applicants will be invited to interview week commencing 6 January 2025. The University actively supports equality, diversity, and inclusion and encourages applications from all sections of society.
