The University of Cambridge is offering fully-funded MRes + PhD studentships in Cancer Biology as part of the Cancer Research UK (CRUK) Cambridge Centre. This innovative programme is designed to provide postgraduate students with a broad understanding of both the basic biology and clinical management of cancer.
Programme OverviewThe MRes + PhD programme is a four-year fully-funded opportunity that includes:
- A one-year MRes degree with two research rotations, a weekly lecture series, and a one- to two-week placement in a patient-facing setting.
- A fully-funded three-year PhD, usually in one of the rotation project host laboratories, allowing in-depth study of a particular area of cancer biology.
The CRUK Cambridge Centre MRes + PhD studentships include full funding from Cancer Research UK to cover the University Composition Fee, a travel and consumables budget, and a stipend of £21,000 per annum.
Eligibility and ApplicationThe programme is open to non-clinical applicants, and applications will be considered on a rolling basis. Short-listed applicants will be invited to interview, and the closing date for receipt of applications is 19 November 2024.
