We are seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant to join our team at the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute. As a Research Assistant, you will play a key role in our research aimed at understanding the complex multicellular ecosystems that drive breast cancer.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to cutting-edge translational research designed to unravel the complex multicellular ecosystems that drive breast cancer.
- Work with our team to characterise human breast tumour ecosystems using highly multiplexed tissue analysis via imaging mass cytometry and sophisticated image processing.
- Quantitative analysis of these data will be used to understand tumours as complex, dynamic heterocellular ecosystems.
- Assemble tissue imaging datasets of unprecedented depth and size in both observational studies and clinical trials.
- Identify spatial phenotypic traits that emerge during disease progression and treatment, and those that drive prognosis and therapeutic response.
- MSc degree in computational biology or equivalent, with machine learning and artificial intelligence background.
- Previous experience in cancer research and immunology is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong interest in cancer research and a willingness to contribute to a dynamic team.
