">We are seeking a highly skilled Director of systems engineering to join our Platform Systems Governance and Assurance team at BAE Systems. This is an exceptional chance to gain firsthand insight into complex operational systems and engage with cutting-edge engineering design.
">In this critical national project, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining processes that support the entire engineering lifecycle. Your expertise will help us maintain and continuously improve the T&FC Operational Framework and Code of Practice.
">Key responsibilities
">Your primary responsibilities will include:
">- Managing emerging or existing compliance risks related to Engineering and Quality standards.
- Assisting in the creation and management of a risk-based audit schedule, supporting inspections, and recertification processes.
- Maintaining and continuously improving the T&FC Operational Framework and Code of Practice.
Requirements and qualifications
">To succeed in this role, you must have a degree in a STEM-related subject and be a Chartered Engineer or working towards it. Your experience in managing engineering and quality governance activities within complex software environments is essential.
">You should also be capable of developing, prioritizing, and driving detailed programs of work across multiple facilities. Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and understanding of Engineering Lifecycle Management, Management Plans, and Business management Systems and Operational Frameworks are desirable.
