We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Engineer to join our team in Barrow-in-Furness. As a key member of our Safety and Environmental Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of our submarines.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile projects, contributing to the design of submarines and modifying existing ones to ensure safety from internal hazards. You will be responsible for undertaking HAZID/HAZOP assessments, developing safety case reports, and collaborating with engineering stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks.

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Degree-qualified in a relevant STEM discipline
  • Proven experience in safety engineering, preferably in a high-hazard industry
  • Strong knowledge of safety engineering principles and risk assessment techniques
